Why oh why when people talk of the Lincoln centennial coins don't they include the best one of all? For me that's the 1918 Illinois centennial coin with the very nice portrait of Lincoln. I think it's an even better looking bust than the new commemoratives.
I see, on tv and in ads, that when people are selling sets of coins celebrating the Lincolns they show the four new cent coins and the new dollar commemorative. They pass right on by the 1918 coin. In my opinion it would simply add polish to the set, making it complete and more attractive. Not too mention it would push up the value of the Illinois coin. =) Perhaps the reasoning of not including the coin is the cost. At a grade of MS65 the coin goes for around $500. So if I was to make an ultimate set for Mr. Lincoln it would include the four cents, the new commemorative and the 1918 commemorative. Maybe in the near future someone will put together such a set. You could go even one better by waiting for the Lincoln dollar coin to come out and then add it to the aforementioned set. With the number of coins involved it would make a great looking set.

My two cents so to speak. =)
