Went to my first coin show last month. Picked the best one on the east coast. If you want to see some great coins you should try a major. Here was my problem. Most of the dealers were more interested in doing business with other dealers then the general public. They did not pay attention to the general public. At one table I was looking at a coin and the dealer took it out of the case and gave it to another dealer. Then I told him I was interested in that coin he could not care less. I think my first show will be my last.

I was there for there for a couple of days, I had a few coins get graded at NGC, pick up a couple of Morgans, I didn't enjoy, kind of overwhelming. Maybe I will try the auction next time, I think they will be back in June. Don't be discouraged, as you could see, a lot of old dealers, with old ways.

Go on Saturday. That's when all the dealers are done with each other and the thought of paying for the table starts to sink in. The best deals can be had in the last 3 hours of a show.
