Modern and Commemorative Indian Coins are very interesting to discuss because they cover many topics like Indian Independence Struggle, War, Peace, Wildlife, Vegetation, Great Personalties, Various Events and Organisations
Hello RV,
Nice to see you here.
As for your question about my philatelic interest; well I haven't ever concentrated on any themes or time period. I collect whatever I can lay my hands on. LOL
But I'm trying to finish my 1947 to date Indian collection. I'm going quite passive for the last one year about Philately and now diverting all my financial resources to complete George V and George VI's coin year set.
Anyway I got a Philatelic exhibition coming on the 11th of this month. Any ideas for the theme and ofcourse wish me luck for the competition as well on 13th.

I am very happy to note that you are interested in Indian
coins. I am a dedicated coin collector and coin-student,
and I often get duplicates of coins which I wish to sell.
However, I would prefer to use a non commercial direct
offer approach.
To do so, I have created a Twitter account at
http://twitter.com/IndianCoins
Twitter is a social site using which people can send very
short communication to each other. So if you are interested
in knowing about my very cheap and very diverse coin
offers, then please go to the above location and click the
"follow" tab.
If you do not have a twitter membership, then you will have
to create one, which is very easy. Like any other social
site (orkut, facebook), you can easily create an account.
I have plenty of coins to offer in a non-commercial environment,
and I am sure that you will definitely take advantage of this facility

Welcome back!
Aidan.
There's some more numismatic groups which will be of interest to you, including ones for both Bangladesh & Pakistan as well.
I've been pretty busy myself.
Eventually,I will be getting some of my collection scanned & photos uploaded in due course.
