The New Hebridean coins are a legitimate part of the British Commonwealth coin series.I even have the 1967 10 & 20 Francs Essais, plus the 1966 silver 100 Francs Essai in my collection.I would never sell those either.

Other territories have been alternatively french and english over time, so this situation is not unique in history.
What make the NHB unique is that they were ruled at the same time by both countries. Even the island of St Martin, which is ruled by France and the Netherlands, has two separate zones.
The New Hebrides were not the only country to be ruled as a condominium.
Sudan was ruled jointly by both Egypt & Great Britain right up until Sudan became an independent republic in 1956.
As for the banknotes of the New Hebrides, they have now become a very difficult & expensive series. They are very popular over here in New Zealand,so I can guess that they are very popular in France as well.
