I also collect Indian banknotes & coins as well.I had one guy in India send me my first 3 Indian Postal Orders,just to get India represented in my collection of British Commonwealth postal orders.I did have postal orders from both Bangladesh & Pakistan in my collection,but not India for some reason.

Coins of the Sikh Empire used Vikrami Sambat dating system and some of the Silver rupees of Amritsar mint had on them Hindu symbols of Trishul, Nagari Om, Shiv, Ram and so on. The inscription was in the Farsi text with persion numerals.
