If you join the Sikh Coins Group then go to the groups photo section you will find many scan of coins (700+) probably one of the largest publicly available. In terms of the inscription I tend to rely mainly on the Hans Herrli book The Coins of the Sikhs.

If you are able to read the details of the coins (in English on this group) you will begin to understand a little about the contents and see scans of the actual coins.

I came across a small book which actually give the translation of Farsi mint names, rulers and dates. When I am next in India I will try and get a few copies and share the details with members of the Coin Network.
