Tami has not received any gifts yet
Dear Tami,
Sorry to hear about your Dad.
I collect paper notes and coins of the world. I also keep my notes in an album and write details like country, denomination, value and year on a sticker in each note as my son who it also interested in collecting will not have trouble later in knowing about each note just like your dad. He did a good thing. I thing he was a very organised person.
You should follow in his footsteps and increase the collection.
If I can be of any help to you do let me know.
Regards,
Rajiv Tandon

Dear Tami,
People say that you should not clean coins as then their value decreases but once I put all my old coins in a bucket of soapy water and left them for an hour or so and the scrubbed them with the palm of my hands so that no scratch comes on the surface and then washed them in tap water, left them to dry in the sun and kept then in their respective boxes. (I washed each coin one at a time)
Do not take this hasty decision, ask other members ,surf internet (how to clean coins).
Moreover big collectors say Do Not Clean Coins As They Loose Their Value
Regards,
Rajiv

I advise you do not clean the coins.
