African Coins are the one of the most favourite coins of world coin collectors all over the world, known especially due to their themes.Any information related with African coins can be shared here!
Resident in South Africa - collecting mainly coins from the Union series (1923) onwards to current Decimal, but I do dabble with ZARs in the background too.
Favorite Coin from Your Collection
This changes al the time as my collection grow - big & bulky does blow my hair back however, like the crowns, but then I got the first Wild Life 50c the other day - WOW!!!!
Renaldo,
I'll let you know what he will say regarding my suggestion of putting his catalogues onto C.D.s &/or D.V.D.s.
Have you had a look at http://www.tokencoins.com ? That is Scott Balson's website,in which he makes some pretty ridiculous claims. He even makes attacks on Brian Hern's reputation.
Both Herman Van Noordwyk & I were threatened with legal action by Scott Balson a few months ago.Scott has also got a coin forum, which is now like another Zimbabwe,as no-one has posted there since he banned me off it.

please send me ur mailing address and mail id, i will send a beautiful coin or unc banknote from india (coin mailing no:1), i am planning to send more such coin mailings. After u receive it if u are happy with it , u can send me any coin from ur country. please join the club, i will initiate the exchange, please respond, no risk on your side, if u think that sending a single coin or note is not worthwhile then we could decide on increasing the number of coins and unc banknotes, so that our friendship will blossom. This is the initiative of the group called coins for friends join it, make me your friend. i like to have atleast 100 coin mailings to 100 different friends throughout the world by the end of this year.

Do you know if the Hern catalogue will be available on either C.D. or D.V.D. like Krause is available on D.V.D.s?
Aidan.
I've sent an email to Brian Hern. His website address is at http://www.coinshoppe.co.za .
Have you had a look at http://www.my-little-auctions.com ? There's NO FEES being charged whatsoever on there!

Scott Balson banned Aidan from his forum because of his obscene language - I fully support his actions.
To see the pretty ridiculous claims Aidan talks about see this link - I think you will see that they have well researched foundation:

Cheers
Those are very nice medal-coins that you have got there.
Have you thought about joining http://www.moneta-coins.com/photopost/index.php & http://www.mycoinpictures.com as well ?
Aidan.
Thanks for clarifying what the status of the 2002 World Cup of Football 50c. coin is.
The Cricket 50c. coins still elude me.
The 2003 World Cup of Cricket 50c. coin is listed in Krause, but not the 2002 Cricket 50c. though.
Have you heard anything from Herman?
His website is down,so it comes up as a broken link.
Someone needs to let him know.
Aidan.
