I have come across a number of fake East India Company coins with value on coins anything between half anna and one rupee. - I am new to the coin collection field. Recently my mother-in-law was exchanging a 1905 King Edward VII coin in a silver shop for around Rs. 500. I knew that it was a rare coin and had the presence of mind to stop her. As I started reading about it, I realized the history behind it and was fascinated with the entire set. Now, I am an avid collector who wants to know more about the coinage and its influence on history.
