Yes,I do collect Ghanaian banknotes,coins,& postal orders,as Ghana is a very loyal member state of the British Commonwealth,despite its history of military coups since the 1966 overthrow of Kwame Nkrumah.

Being from New Zealand,we are very aware of which countries,including ones in Africa,are British Commonwealth countries.

One day,I will be getting my banknotes,coins,& postal orders scanned,& the photos uploaded into my galleries.

Is there an active numismatic scene over there in Ghana? Ghanaian banknotes & coins,especially the older ones prior to 1969,have always been popular with British Commonwealth collectors.I was very lucky in getting one of the current Ghanaian 1 Cedi banknotes,which I had to import from a dealer in Australia.

The banknotes,coins,& postal orders of the Gold Coast are extremely difficult to find.We never see those over here in New Zealand.
