Bill,
I also have a few Indian error coins, which I will eventually get scanned & photos uploaded onto Zeno. One of them is an aluminium 3 Paise dated '196' with the last figure of the date missing.I've had that coin for a few years.
Of course,Indian coins with faulty planchets are of interest to me,considering that I pick them up very cheaply over here in New Zealand.I have a 1966 1 Paisa with faults on both sides, including 2 bubbled up areas near the '1' on the reverse.
Humm. I must be confused. Someone posted an image of a youthful bust James VI. It was the scarce year for type and in quite nice condition. It put my 1582 to shame.
I have a small collection of Scottish crowns. My aim was to acquire one crown per monarch. That accomplished, I haven't looked at them for some time.
Like you, I also have a I do have a Scots 1692 40 Shillings of William & Mary.
Perhaps, though not in high grade, I might post pictures sometime. . . .
I am very happy to note that you are interested in Indian
coins. I am a dedicated coin collector and coin-student,
and I often get duplicates of coins which I wish to sell.
However, I would prefer to use a non commercial direct
offer approach.
To do so, I have created a Twitter account at
http://twitter.com/IndianCoins
Twitter is a social site using which people can send very
short communication to each other. So if you are interested
in knowing about my very cheap and very diverse coin
offers, then please go to the above location and click the
"follow" tab.
If you do not have a twitter membership, then you will have
to create one, which is very easy. Like any other social
site (orkut, facebook), you can easily create an account.
I have plenty of coins to offer in a non-commercial environment,
and I am sure that you will definitely take advantage of this facility
