Congratulations, and best wishes for the success of the project.
Dear Aidan,
Good to know of this update
Rgds-YJQ
Gurprit & Yahya,
The new gallery will be relaunched at http://worldnumismaticphotogallery.net/gallery with the Photopost program installed to replace the Piwigo program.

The gallery will be like a world equivilant to http://www.zeno.ru to a certain degree, but exonumia, such as medals will not be included.

Each country's category will be divided into banknote, coin, community currency, currency token,& postal order sections,as the case may be,& being further subdivided when warranted.

We are aiming to do a much better job than Krause Publications has done so far.

Aidan.
Dear Aidan,
I am now in process of buying Pakistan postal orders, and will upload them in a week or so.
Do you want me to upload the complete collection of Pakistan Banknotes, since 1947?. These will be a lot of pictures

Yahya,
It would be a great idea.

Have you come across any British Indian postal orders depicting King George VI overprinted 'PAKISTAN'?

We will let you know when the gallery is online.

In due course,I will have to get my Pakistani note collection scanned, along with the rest of my Pakistani postal orders.

Aidan.
Dear Aidan,
My hobby of collecting Postal Orders is just two days old! It will take me a few days to buy the current P/orders from the Post Office. It will take much longer to contact dealers for buying the older P/orders

Yahya,
I didn't know that.

Postal order collecting can be a pretty addictive branch of numismatics.

All of my Pakistani postal orders came from contacts in England.

Aidan.
Dear Aidan,
You have started me on this hobby branch of collecting P/orders! I am liking it,one reason being that Pakistan P/o are not expensive.(Banknotes & Coins, which I collect, are very expensive)
In due course, once i have collected the pictures & data, i will be issuing a 20-30 page guide on Pakistan P/orders.
Will it be possible for you to mail me some New Zealand P/orders to my London address, sometime in early December?
I do plan to mail you the current Pak P/O, which are of a different design, from London, around same time.

Yahya,
New Zealand stopped issuing postal notes in 1986,& stopped issuing British Postal Orders in either 1987 or 1988.

Extant examples are extremely difficult to find,& when they do turn up,they command some very strong prices.

I would be very interested in getting some current Pakistani postal orders.

Here's a photo of the newest Pakistani postal order that I have in my collection;

It is the only one of its type that I do have.

When you do write up your catalogue of Pakistani postal orders, you have to indicate the commission.Changes in commission are indicated for example '4 Rupees on 60 Paisa'.

Aidan.
Dear Aidan,
This design of postal orders was issued between 2002-2005.
On what email address can I email you current P/o, and also Signature chart of Pakistan Banknotes (to identify various signs)

Yahya,
You can email me at britishcommonwealthnumismatics@gmail.com .

We will have to divide the Pakistani section on the gallery into 'Dominion of Pakistan' & 'Islamic Republic of Pakistan',then divide the banknote sections into 'Government of Pakistan' & 'State Bank of Pakistan',& subdivided by signatory.

The Pakistani postal order gallery will be getting divided as each type gets depicted.

Aidan.
Yahya,
You can now join up at http://worldnumismaticphotogallery.net .
