I just bought a nice 1942-S mercury dime...looks so much like the 1942-D I already had that I had to do a double-take to make sure the seller wasn't pulling a fast one... here are the "TWINS" side by side

Sorry, but I put the wrong dates on my Mercury Dimes. They are not 1947's, they are both 1944's. I will try to do better next time.
I don't have a scan, but I think the Standing Liberty Quarter, reverse, is the best eagle of the bunch. The one that replaced it, on the Washington Quarters, looks mad. As for the JFK and Barber eagles, they don't look any better. The Ike eagle is not scientifically correct; there is no air on the moon (and no real eagle would be flying there).
