These i find are a very hard coin to get in a good grade so i think any coins from this date is a good find. I'm looking at one at the moment in the US it's a 1/2d E/F - A/U and they want $850. I think thats not a bad price? So hard to price these coins think some of the time it's down to what the market is willing to pay. cheers aidan what other old I o m coins you aquired?
Mark,
Check out http://www.allnumis.com to see some photos of Manx coins, including some of mine.

This coin was picked up from a dealer over here in New Zealand a few years back.

I know that it cost me less than NZ$100 though!

Mark,
The 1/2 Penny coins elude me for the 1709,1733,& 1758 coinages.I do have most of the later pre-decimal coinage 1/2d. coins represented.

I have been able to find most of the early manx coins but not in the grade i want. I try Only ever buy unc or E/F (x/f) . Although have just settle on a v/f 1709 1/2d as its the best i have been able to find todate plus at $65.00 thought it quite cheap.Have a 1798 proof 1/2d.. But the coins that elude me the most are the most recent 1972,3,4 1/2 to 50p

Mark,
That's a very nice Proof 'Cartwheel' 1/2d. that you have got there.

I've got an example of the 1813 1/2d. that still has the date legible.

As for the 1972-76 Manx decimal coins, they have very low mintages, considering that since 1972,the Pobjoy Mint has been striking both the Manx currency coins & the plethora of Manx medal-coins,especially those denominated in Crowns.
