2009 LINCOLN CABIN
I always go thru my wifes spare change . yesterday i noticed 3 shiny coins, I fgured they were 2007 0r 2008 . I was really sur prised 2 CABIN D,s AND 1 P . I was thrilled more getting these than my penny rolls.
When I put tgether penny rolld i have been putting a 2009 D in the middle of the roll. All of you may think I am crazy . But brings customers back that usually buy higher dollar coins. I try to treat people how i wanted to be treated in life . And it usually pays off.

Hey Mark, I do not think your crazy. In away it could work to help get more people interested in the hobby of Numismatics. I have yet to find any of the new Lincoln cents in change yet. Though I have got two rolls at one of my local banks. I guess it is now time to start looking for the second series. I hope that this search is as fun as looking for the first two rolls of Lincoln Cabin cents. Thanks for posting this Mark and have a great day!

I have a few of the new pennies with the log cabin on the back. I tend to hoard all the 2009 Lincoln Cents that I find in rolls. However, if people ask me, I will give the coins to them. Maybe I will start putting some back in circulation for other collectors. I have found about a half dozen in the rolls so far. I happened to come across a few at the bank too.
