Check out this coin;

I picked this up in an auction some years ago for a bargain price - NZ$20!

Hammered Irish coins are getting harder to find.It is not only collectors in Ireland who are collecting them,but British Commonwealth coin collectors are also wanting them.

Please let me know what you think.

Hi Aiden, thats a steal, I just bought a Jame1st - VIp grading F for 25 quid. I find Irish coins are cheaper in the UK than Ireland. The P&M eire groat is somewhat more valuable, that woul sell in Eire for €90 so you have a bargin
Keven,
The Irish coin market in Ireland is very strong.The prices for them in England are just a bit too low for some reigns.

Even having this holed coin come my way was enough to make me happy,as the Philip & Mary coins from both England & Ireland are extremely scarce.The date is the clearest thing on this coin.

One of these days,I will get my Irish King James I 1/- scanned & photos uploaded.

Aidan.
cool love to see it
