HOW CAN ANY ALTERED COIN HAVE MUCH VALUE

Other then the art work it self.I really don't see any hobo coin being worthy of a high premium.to say that a hobo coin could fetch as much as 300.00 in my opinion is just exploiting numismedia as saying an altered coin is worth a lot.I'm sorry but even though I can appreciate the art work and possible time involved in creating these coins.I just don't see the value in them.Just not my thing I guess
