Fiji is one very numismatically interesting country,albeit,one with a troubled history,especially since 1987.

Aidan, I do agree with you in this regards. I have also uploaded a few coins of George King VI & Queen Victoria of Great Britain along with some Commonwealth countries like Jamaica, West Africa, Fiji, New Zealand, Mauritius and your expert comments are always welcome. I'm sure you'll like to see them.

Amit,
To me,a British Commonwealth country is one that was a member state on the 1st. of January 1995,plus Fiji,the Republic of Ireland,the Principality of Hutt River,& the Republic of Somaliland.

The coins of the New Hebrides are also part of the British Commonwealth series,even though they were struck at the Paris Mint in France,& issued by the French.They were kept in circulation by the Republic of Vanuatu until 1983,when the Vatu was introduced.
