Coin Network - Coin Collecting Social Network

Wow, I forgot about this forum, but we certainly had some good discussion here. And seeing as how I live 5+ hours from all of you, maybe I'll try and respark some discussions. I just re-read the Guess the grade topic, That was a great conversation!

So let's restart here:
We could play guess the grade, unfortunately I won't be giving away any prizes, ;)
Here are some Large cents, none are slabbed, and all are CURRENTLY in my collection. So ask for better pictures and I'll see what I can do.

Shawn,
Those are very nice 1c. coins.

There's some guys on http://coinchat.org/forums/index.php who would be very interested in seeing some photos of these.

Aidan.
Nice coins. Tough to tell lustre but I would say the 1892 is at least AU55 and the other is EF45 or better. Here is an 1894 I just bought online but haven't received yet. Looks to be a fat 4.

Thank you guys. Randy that certainly is a nice Large cent!
Aidan, please, I beg you, please stop asking me to join forums, discussions, and websites. I have no desire to join anymore then I am a member of. Toad and I do NOT get along.
This Discussion group is reserved for members of the Edmonton Numismatic society, you are not one, why would you post a link to a forum, that no one cares about and try and get us to join?
These coins have been posted on Cointalk, and no one replied. Those same members are on Toads site. They do not care about Canadian coins. Which members do YOU think would be interested in seeing them? Or was it just a ploy to get me to register to the site?
Shawn,
There is a guy from Canada named Michael who is a serious Canadian coin collector.

It is true that I'm not a member of the Edmonton Numismatic Society,as I am not even located in Canada.

What's up with you & Toad?

As for Coin Talk,I am still extremely angry at both Doug (GDJMSP) (who is a major league wanker!) & Peter T. Davis (who was a fool to have appointed Doug firstly as a moderator, then as an administrator on Coin Talk) as well as the so-called 'World Internet Numismatic Society' (whose public relations is totally non-existant).

Aidan.
Aidan, I do not wish to talk about this too much with you, if you feel Doug is a wanker. So be it, but you should recognize that the "wanker" is the guy that lays down the rules on CT, and if you don't want to abide by them, then you will get the boot. You deserved to be booted from both sites, and you know it.
Doug,
Did you not know that Doug allowed Moen1305 to continue to post racist views when the Politics,Religion,& World Events forum was still attached to Coin Talk? Peter also knew of this,& refused to ban that guy.

As the old saying goes,"What is good for the goose is good for the gander".

As seen as they had the gall to ban me,but not Moen1305,to me,that just didn't make sense.

I'm amazed that no-one has tried to hack into Coin Talk to try to bring it crashing down offline for good.

As for me deserving to be banned off the banknote & coin forum,I don't think so!

Aidan.
Hi Shawn, good to hear from you. We've all taken a bit of a break from this forum since
before the RCNA. I agree with your comments that this is for Canadian coins mostly although some of us do
dabble in U.S, German and British. I don't see how any of us would want to join the Zimbabwe collectors group or whatever.
Great to hear from you Jamie.
I too have taken a break from this forum. Mostly because of the moderating, and spam invites I get. Although I'd like to give it another try. I don't have the emails of any of the guys that were posting before. Perhaps you could spread the word that there will be some topics on here. Seeing as how you're closer to the "action" then I am.

Shawn,
It is great to see a lively community on http://www.canadiancoppercoins.com .

I will be posting a link to your website up on http://monetastic.ning.com/group/canadiannumismatics as well.

By the way,'CoinChat' has ended up like the Titanic - sunk! It's a shame that Coin Talk hasn't headed the same way as well.

Aidan.
