He sounds like a bit of a fruitcake,as he has got a photo of a nickel 5c.,which could be an error coin or could be a concoction.

Wooden nickels are supposed to made of,well,wood.

Wooden nickels are not really numismatic anyway,as they are really exonumia like bus,train,tram,bread,& milk tokens are.

If you look close enough you can see a distinct line across the coin where it was held in the vice.
I don't know if my shake my head more at the seller, or the village idiot that bought it for 8 bucks.

Nickel is a very hard metal.

It must have taken the force of a drop-hammer to cut through the coin.

As for the guy's description,there's a lot of things that are totally nonsense regarding this.
