Sachin,
As the Republic of India is a British Commonwealth country,I do have an interest in collecting banknotes, coins,& postal orders from there.

Unfortunately,I haven't got a contact who can get me the smallest denominated Indian Field Postal Order - 2,000 Rupees,to add to my collection.

Yes,I also collect coins from British India.I have 2 notes from British India - 1940 1 Rupee & a King George VI 2 Rupees.

I do have some coins from some of the Indian Princely States under British suzerainty, but none of the notes.

Piyush,
Can you please send me a PM regarding this?

Indian Postal Orders & Indian Field Postal Orders have always been of interest to me.

Does your contact sell Indian Princely States' banknotes as well?

Aidan.

Kishore Jhunjunwalla is the author of a catalogue titled Indian Paper Money since 1950.

I have the 1997 edition, which commemorates 50 Years of Indian Independence.
