Can someone, explain the Mint Marks in British Indian coins to me, as I am collecting the coins, Yearwise, mintwise?

The coins that were struck at the Bombay Mint have a dot below the date,whereas,the coins that were struck at the Calcutta Mint have no mintmark at all.

in the time of george 6 there the coins was minted in calcutta,bombay and lahore mint as well.in the lahore mint there a "L" is written in that place

The Lahore Mint is now the Pakistani Mint.

The mintmarks are usually either below the date or below the Lotus flower on the King George VI silver coins.
