Magdalen Islands 1815 1d.

This very rare coin was issued by Sir Isaac Coffin,who owned the islands.

At the time this coin was issued,the Magdalen Islands were under the jurisdiction of Newfoundland.From 1825 to 1867,they were part of Lower Canada.Since 1867,they have been part of the Province of Quebec.

I found this coin a few years ago at work over here in New Zealand.
