To discuss the fascinating coinage of the Bactrian/Indo-Greek kingdom. Many of these beautiful coins are bilingual. The Indo-Greek coins were the first coins minted in India with the image of the ruler instead of punchmarks.

Sadly, the coin above is not in my collection. Pilfered it off Wikipedia. Coins of Demetrius I, have a nasty habit of being expensive. Once I figure out how to take good pictures of my coins, will post some pictures.

Where are the mintmarks located on Indo-Greek coins? I see references to Taxila mint, etc. in citations, but am never sure where the mintmarks are located.

Added a Hermaeus Tetradrachm to the slideshow below. Will see if I can get some of my Menanders and Anticlidas scanned in now that I have figured out how to take pictures of the coins.
