Zimbabwe 2003 10 & 25 Dollars - not put into circulation until the so-called 'Currency Reform' of August 2008.

Here is the photos of a Zimbabwean pair of coins - the 2003 $10 & $25,which were not put into circulation until the so-called 'Currency Reform' of August 2008.

I bought them as a pair a few weeks after they were put into circulation.By that time, all the Zimbabwean coins had disappeared from circulation, due to the continuing hyperinflation.

These 2 coins are the very last coins to have been struck by the Zimbabwean Mint,Bulawayo.Yes,they can be regarded as a genuine British Commonwealth coin issue.

Here's the Zimbabwean $10 coin.

There was both a $10 banknote & the $10 coin in circulation at the same time.

Please let me know what you think.

Here's the Zimbabwean $25 coin.

This coin is the only one denominated at $25,which is pretty strange, but not as strange as the Zimbabwean $750,000 Bearer Cheque though.

Aidan.
The 100 Trillion Dollar note is the weirdest denomination note that I have come across - I have the set from 2008 (100, 50 20 & 10 Trillion, 50, 20, 10, 5 & 1 Billion) and from 2009 (100, 50, 20, 10 & 5 dollar) - all AA series and all crisp UNC.

Renaldo,
It will be good if Garry Saint does decide to establish a gallery to upload photos of banknotes & coins.

Hopefully,he will have an information field to record serial numbers.

I've found some Zimbabwean notes a real challenge to find, including the 2009 notes,& the Petrol Coupons issued by both the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe & other issuers, which still elude me.

As for the non-R.B.Z. Bearer Cheques, they still elude me.

The $750,000 Bearer Cheque is even more strange than the notes denominated in billions & trillions of Zimbabwean Dollars.
