Where are the Buffalos?
Has anyone either gotten a message that their Buffalo was shipped or more importantly has anyone received their Buffalo? If anyone received their Buffalo did you truly receive a proof coin of pre-Moy quality?

Lureuin: I can't refute the facts. So it took him three years to screw all the collectors and the Designers and sculptors at the Mint? But I still will go into my archives to see whose name is on the coin certifications of December 2006 and forward.

I must admit that I have looked at my 2009 Buffalo a number of times. Last night's viewing has almost convinced me to like the coin. But regardless it is unlike any other proof coin I have from this Mint and they go back to 1984 with the Olympic silver dollar proof.

I actually like my 2009 MS 70 Buff about as much as I like the proof. It will be interesting to see what the grade will be on the proof. I should know that this week. I also sent in my original UHR that had some minor finning on the rim. Hopefully it will also grade 70.

Steve W: Please let us know the results on both coins. I also had edge fins on my UHR, which I considered a grading kiss of death. I certainly would want to know whether the grading services have a different opinion.

From what I understand, the finning is present on all of the UHR's and has no affect on the final grade. It is very small scratches above the rims that will cause a 69 grade. They are visable under light to the naked eye and seem to be from sliding the coin out of the press after striking.
Glad to hear that you're starting to like the different approach used on the Buffalo.

They graded the UHR with a 69! I do think that the finning was the culprit.
