Coin Network - Coin Collecting Social Network

I have been part of a market research group for the US Mint. This took place the first week of October. The session was about 2 hours long and the group members were paid $125. We talked about a logo for the Mint (proposed and current), the new series of quarters, packaging, customer service & Mint communication, and discontinued products. During intoductions, I believe most people mentioned they weren't satisfied with no proof SAE's. Then I look through today's mail and there's a letter from the Mint. I read the letter and it's for a web survey on the Mint. Most of the questions were the same as from the research group. I was hoping there would be a place to enter some comments, but the vast majority of questions were rate this between 1 to 6, or yes or no. Guess that's about as much as you can do with an online survay.

Has anyone else been part of something like this? The group was much better than doing an online survey. For one, your get to hear what others think and two, your got paid.

Did you get any feedback or answers to questions from the mint?
Bill
No, both the group and online survey were done by research companies hired by the Mint. I don't expect any feedback from the Mint. The group setting was interesting in that there was a mirrored wall that had people behind it. At least that's what the person overseeing that group said. I don't remember if he said that any of them were from the Mint, but it seems like there should have been since most of what was done in the group was visual and vocal. But after every segment, there was a questionaire to answer.

Where did they have the group meet, in DC? If so, you would think that couldn't have been considered a broad sampling of the nation.
I'm in Chicago.and we met at a downtown Chicago hotel where the research company has some offices. Looked like others were from the area because I wasn't the only one wearing a White Sox jacket. So I would assume that there were similar groups being held around the country. There were about 12 people in the group and three groups over two days.

It would have been nice to be flown to DC, but I guess they didn't want angry coin collectors near Moy. :)
