I just received the 2011 HR Perth Mint's Silver Kangaroo coin, and I think it rivals the US HR Gold coin.  The proof strike is outstanding, and it even has a beautiful package.  The mint only struck 20,000 of these, and the cost wasn't that prohibative.  I guess I will recon, and try to find the one from last year.  Any thoughts from my friends on this site?

Bruce,

Do you think $129 for a PF-69 NGC, or $169 for a PF-70, is a fair deal?  May I ask how much you paid?  Also, do you like the new Kookaburas and Dragons (both are excellent designs and are selling fast).

I don't really care about the TPC coins, so we paid under $100 US, including the mint case and the paperwork.  From looking at it under the loop, it would probably be at least a PF 69.  I did find last years for about $125 from a dealer in AU, so the postage will be a little higher.  But with such a limited minting, and the overall beauty of the coins, it's worth it to us, which is all that matters!
