Small date Proof set?

I will admit to my stupidity, but I'm holding a "Small Date" and regular 1960 Proof set, and I can't tell the difference.  I guess if I got ripped off (although not for much!), that's on me, but honestly;  What should I look for?  Thanks all.  Armydoc
