It appears pretty clear that they should have said highly blue lacquered hardwood box. I would have preferred to seen the wood but blue will do.

Permalink Reply by Brian D on October 25, 2011 at 7:22pm You should send the US Mint this notice. No wonder us small collectors have to pay these flippers profits. Bunch of BULLS--T.

MCM just sent me an e-mail to buy 5 sets for them, and they will pay me $60 profit for each set. Even if I had the money, I don't think I would do it. Seems to border on Fraud, and it certainly throws the 5 set limit out the window! It should be a very interesting day on Thursday.

Permalink Reply by 3rdStooge on November 1, 2011 at 2:36pm There is no fraud involved in making a profit on something. Now if you sold it and did not deliver, that would be fraud or theft. If it were fraud, then the mint would be guilty of fraud by making monster profits selling this item!
The only worry I have about this set is the packaging. The only pictures I have seen, of the set, seem to be housed in a blue fiberboard/cardboard box. I do not see any wooden box as mentioned in the mint advertisment.
Maybe, since paper is made from wood,.........the mint could be planning on wrapping the set in old newspapers for delivery! LOL!
It could happen!!!!!!!
Permalink Reply by Gary on November 1, 2011 at 3:03pm The only alleged fraud I see, is the amount of sets these company's will have to sell. They had every swinging richard and hanging harriet calling in orders, which probably explains why so many true collectors will now have to buy from them, or other 3rd party sellers! If the Mint would have put a one (1) set order limit, more people would of had a fair shot.
