I have three 5pence pieces from the Isle of Man, dated 1972/1973 and 1974. According to information received only 1000 of these were mented for each year.

Is anyone able to confirm this information and if so their approximate value?

I have the Spinks cat for Great Britain but his does include Isle of Man coins.

Thanks

Rod,
All denominations from the 1/2 New Penny right up to the 10 New Pence for 1972,1973,& 1974 have very low mintages, considering that the Pobjoy Mint was just starting operations in around 1972 as a pretty small private mint. All of these coins elude me so far.

The Pobjoy Mint is now a huge private mint that is churning out a ton of medal-coins for the Isle of Man.

As to a price,I don't have the latest Krause or Spink's,but I know that Krause catalogues them very high.

Thank you very much for the info. A visit to the local library is now called for.
