How to clean this coin

Personally I would not try to clean it. It looks to me like there are parallel hairlines in the fields. That and most of the darker areas being in protected areas next to letters and devices makes me think it has already been cleaned (maybe a little too aggresively) and has since regained some tone. Unless there is strong evidence of something on the coin which is causing ongoing damage I would leave it as it is.
