I don't think Congress has introduced anything regarding this yet, but I would really like to see a 5-year 1 coin set honoring the sesquetinal of the Civil War.

Are there any future designs you all would like to see in the next 10 years?

I know that the dollar coins are not incredibly successful for circulation, but I would love to see a 2 dollar coin and maybe even a 5 dollar coin out in circulation. They could get very creative with these designs. Maybe a St Gauden's style design for circulation.
I would like to see two bimetallic coins in circulation (first a one dollar and then a two dollar), maybe with some important historical figures on them that were not presidents (like Benjamin Franklin), or maybe showing historical scenes (like the Moon landing). The coins should both be larger than a quarter, to further differentiate them from other money. They should discontinue the dollar bill.
Chad, why don't we have the Ben Franklin half obverse paired with the Ike dollar reverse? ;-D

Seriously, though, I'm in total agreement with the other posters that we need a larger coin - at least a $5 coin. Going along with the 150th anniversary of the Not-So-Civil War, we could use the Generals of that war. For the Union, Grant is an obvious choice. Being raised in Georgia, I'd have serious objections to Mr. Tecumseh, but I think Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee would make great Southern Generals to have on U.S. coinage. I'm having a hard time picking out two other Union generals, though...
For my first post, I was thinking that the Franklin coin would be a different one than the moon landing one. For the moon landing, I was thinking more of a picture of an astronaut. I obviously forgot about the Eisenhower Dollar reverse with the moon and the eagle, and about the Franklin Half Dollar. Maybe there could be a coin with one of the space shuttles and an astronaut. Maybe we could do what Australia and Canada are doing and introduce some more animals on coins (besides the eagle and buffalo), like the Rattlesnake. Again, I really like the idea of the two largest denomination coins being bimetallic.
a new dime and half dollar
The National Park quarter series expires in 2021. What should the 2022 quarters look like? What about the 2010 Native American dollar? the 2017 dollar coin to follow the presidents series?
