Hey TM,
I was on the escort team back in 1974 that got to go with the idiots from Washington to inspect the Gold there. It's one the highlights of my Army life. To see all that Gold stacked from floor to ceiling was amazing. The then Mint Director though her shit didn't stink, that's for sure. We were called the "Eldorado Team", I wonder why, lol!!!

Permalink Reply by 3rdStooge on October 12, 2011 at 1:14pm I have seen the Ft. Knox program about 3 times. What was specially amazing to me was the gigantic set of scales they have there. Extremely accurate and able to weigh huge loads of gold.
I have three of those battery powered coin/reloading scales and all three give slightly different results. Maybe I need a balance beam scale?
