Fort Knox is the Topic for Brad Meltzer's Decoded Season 2 Premiere on The History Channel!

I just wanted to bring this to your attention that the topic of Fort Knox has been investigated by Brad Meltzer's team for season 2 of Decoded on The History Channel. I personally am responsible for this episode as I posed the topic to one of my friends who is actually one of Brad Meltzer's team members on this hit show. Since many of our discussions center around the topic of precious metals and even Fort Knox itself, I thought it would be an episode that many of us will be interested in viewing. It airs Wednesday Night October 5th, 2011 at 10pm/9pm Central on The History Channel (Channel 269 on Directv). I am very excited and hope many of you get the chance to watch this episode. I can tell you this, Brad and his team have a strong interest in this topic with the recent activity in gold.

Hey TM,

I was on the escort team back in 1974 that got to go with the idiots from Washington to inspect the Gold there.  It's one the highlights of my Army life.  To see all that Gold stacked from floor to ceiling was amazing.  The then Mint Director though her shit didn't stink, that's for sure.  We were called the "Eldorado Team", I wonder why, lol!!!

Very cool Bruce! I'll bet it was amazing indeed. Great team name too. Reminds of the WWII era B-17 bomber called "Aluminum Overcast".

I have seen the Ft. Knox program about 3 times.  What was specially amazing to me was the gigantic set of scales they have there.  Extremely accurate and able to weigh huge loads of gold.

I have three of those battery powered coin/reloading scales and all three give slightly different results. Maybe I need a balance beam scale?
