The price of gold has almost reached that point today for the manipulators to sell off.  Let's see what happens tomorrow.

I think the $1150 price target today will be a good indicator. If that is hit, gold could continue upwards a little higher before selling brings it back lower.
Gold is right now at $1150.00. Let's see what happens now.
To late for a fix today, let's see what happens tomorrow.

Could JP Morgan be afraid to try their tricks now that all eyes are on them? Let's hope so!!!!!!
If some of the allegations are true that Morgan and others are basically working as proxies for the US government they might not care who is watching. Morgan apparently hasn't bothered to respond to the allegations that they were involved in manipulation in the silver market.
You need only look as far as your wonderful federal government to see the true manipulators of this metal. Print more worthless money, oil and gold goes up. Don't print any money, oil and gold remain the same or decrease. This is simple macro-economics.

A nice article provided by Michael at one of his other web-sites about manipulation. I'm thinking we may have seen the end of blatant moves for quite awhile.

Manipulation of precious metal prices by governments should come as no shock to anyone. This is what is done to defend a currency and one's economy. The Chinese are blatant about keeping the value of their currency low in order to keep WallMart sales high. Their actions do not help employment in the US.
Mr Heller is a coin dealer in Michigan and his point of view reflects his interests. I do not question his arguments, but his views must be seen from a Machiavellian viewpoint.

3 days in a row where you can see a climb at the same time we normally see a drop. I think the players are offloading some of their short positions so they are less tempted to manipulate. Maybe the meeting helped a little.

I think so too Lureuin and I also think many of the people in the gold market are acting on what came out in the meeting. I expect to see a considerable shift away from "paper" gold into taking physical delivery, and actually I think that has already started to happen.
I am glad I was wrong!!
LG- You have to love plat right now.
Also notice that the Dow is rising in parallel to the PMs. One might wonder how this could happen in light of all the doom's day predictions and budget deficits. Government bailouts cannot be fueling all of this?
