I do not know. But after the mint flooded the market with substantially more Lincoln Penny sets for the 2nd design than the 1st design, I would say that the Mint will probably flood the market with these rolls so they can gain the profit that would have gone to the small number of people that ordered so they could turn around and sell for a profit.
By the way, if you go on the Mints website and sign up for the Presidential Dollars Subscription, you will not receive the Tyler dollars as your 1st shipment. You will receive the Polk dollars as your 1st shipment. I noticed this yesterday(5-19-09) when I was looking through their subscription information. I already have a subscription for the Pres dollars so this does not effect me.
Thanks for your replies. It seems that it's anyone's guess as to what to expect. I think I read that the mint must produce at least 20% of the 2009 dollar coins in the Native American mintages and that they likely will produce less presidental dollars to keep that number as low as possible since coinage in general will be low in 2009.
The Tyler mintages are already known. They are slightly lower than the Harrison mintages. However, one cannot assume how many rolls the Mint will have available for sale. Heck, it could be 300,000. Or it could be 20,000. Doing business with the Mint is like gambling. And I'm an addict who needs his fix.
It looks like we have the answer now - apparently they made event fewer Tyler mint rolls than Harrison!
