2009 Coins drying up at banks?

Went bank hopping today and didnt have too much luck!! Anyone have any luck finding any penny nickel dime quarter or presidential dollar ROLLS!!

My bank has plenty of the dollar rolls, but the other rolls they have not had.

Ditto. Nothing in NYC or Connecticut.

I asked my bank for rolls and they brought out (I think) the ones I gave them 2 weeks ago. Kinda slow in the change
dept up in CT, I guess.

Drying up? My banks never had them...

I'm gonna be in DC this week and next for a little vacation. I'm gonna stop by some banks back there and see what they may have. Heckuva long way to go to hunt for coins, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

My bank has plenty of the new presidential dollars, I've gotten the newest territorial quarters there, the new commemorative cents were handed to me in change from a teller, but I haven't seen any 2009 nickels or dimes.

My bank had box's of 2009 Nickel's and Dimes ,Im selling them on ebay for $5.00 each now !

I went to 3 banks today in NYC. I don't have an account at any, as I bank locally up in CT. They would not even discuss rolled coins or change or anything.
It must be true about rude NYers. Sigh.

Not rude, but in NY it's all about getting the edge on the other guy. Banks exist to make money / profits / income. You are not a depositor collecting junk interest, you can't expect them to lift a finger to help you out. Nothing personal, it's business.

i have noticed that the younger tellers seem more polite and if the have anything they will give them out....the older birds act like they are protecting there nests???

Well, I'm not asking for 51 cents in a roll....just 50 cents for my 2 quarters.
It's just that they don't care. You're not a customer? Why should I give you any service?
It sucks....but it is reality.
