The US Mint has updated their coin production figures page to reflect production through April. This is an important update since it might reflect the final mintages for 2009 Jefferson Nickels and 2009 Roosevelt Dimes. It was recently reported that production for these two denominations has officially ended for 2009.

Also notable are the Lincoln Cent figures. Separate designs are not split out, but final numbers for the Birthplace design had been reported elsewhere as 284.8 million at Philadelphia and 350 million at Denver. Are the final mintages for the Rail Splitter design be only 156.8 million at Philadelphia and 72.8 million at Denver?? Or are more still being produced before the launch on May 14?

Find all the figures here. I've organized the numbers in a single sheet above.

I am afraid we are not going to see any 2009 nickels or dimes circulating until 2010, and then it will be scattered. These will be tough coins to accumulate any quantities on in my opinion.
